Ben Tishler is a three-time Emmy award winning director, writer, and producer. He has directed documentaries on music superstars Lil Wayne, Metallica, and Nas and has been recognized with seven Emmy Award nominations for his work with HBO, CBS, NBC, ESPN, VH1 and SHOWTIME.

Tishler began his career as an understudy to writer/director David Mamet before making the transition to non-fiction storytelling. Since then, he has spanned five continents exploring everything from anti-apartheid activism with Desmond Tutu to the journey of a boxing champion with Roy Jones Jr., to the lives of at-risk youth in New York’s juvenile justice system.

For the last decade, he has also served as the Executive Producer and lead Director of the multi-award winning What Would You Fight For? commercial campaign for NBC. He is currently prepping his first feature film as a Director, Hate To See You Go, co-written with Rob Stone and starring Morgan Freeman, Alfre Woodard, Common, Trevor Jackson and Bill Burr.
